Paintings of antarctic landscapes from all across Antarctica. Having spent over sixty months on the ice, including four austral winters and six austral summers. David Rosenthal has created work from a variety of places and and from every season. Time in Antarctica including travel as a participant in the National Science Foundation Antarctic Artist and Writer Program for the National Science Foundation contractor for two winters and four summers in various job capacities as a way to spend time and become familiar with the landscape of Antarctica. David has done thousands of drawings and watercolor studies, and hundreds of oil studies and full size paintings of the antarctic scenery. This body of work can be considered an artistic record of climate change. David's work also includes many amazing iceberg paintings of Antarctica, Alaska and Greenland.
